4.1.17.1. vPro feature description and configuration
On remote PCs equipped with Intel vPro chipset, users can access BIOS, control power and install OS remotely.
- vPro options are shown only on devices equipped with Intel vPro chipset.
- Remote PC with vPro must be physically wired to the network (wirelessly connected PC cannot be controlled with vPro).
- Remote PC with vPro is accessed via another PC in the same network (to power up a PC, there must be another powered on PC in the same network).
* Configuring Intel Management Engine BIOS Extension
In order to ude vPro, Intel MEBx must be configured first.
① At the booting screen of vPro PC, press "Ctrl+P" to connect to MEBx.
② G oto Intel AMT Configuration > Provision Model > select Small Business.
③ Go to Intel AMT Configuration > Enter the Host Name.
④ Go to Intel AMT Configuration > TCP/IP > Enable DHCP Mode or enter a fixed IP (recommended).
⑤ Save all, close and reboot.

To access MEBx, vPro feature must be enabled in BIOS.

4.1.17.2. Verify vPro support
① Go to Start > Programs > RSUPPORT > RemoteView6.0 > Agent > select Check Intel vPro.
② On the check up tool, press "Start diagnosis" button.
③ Restart the remote PC's Agent.
④ Refresh the web management console and verify that the remote PC's icon shows vPro on top.
